Online Montessori Videos
About Us
Educational Video Publishing (EdVid) began in 1994 with a joint venture with the American Montessori Society to coproduce a 3-6 parent orientation video (Nurturing the Love of Learning). That video (now a DVD) has sold over 1500 copies. EdVid and AMS continued to collaborate in producing DVDs for each of the age groups from infant/toddler through middle school. For the 100th anniversary of Montessori in 2007, AMS and EdVid collaborated on the production of Educating for Peace: The Essence of Montessori.
EdVid's owner Eric Johnson and Paulyne Holten-Sinder have continued to produce assistant training videos, and hundreds of demonstration videos over the past 15 years. An Introduction to the Montessori Math Curriculum follows the development of the math curriculum from the concrete materials in 3-6, through the increasingly abstract materials in the elementary grades. Also for parents, is the overview of the five early childhood curriculum areas in Introduction to Montessori Philosophy and Materials (This DVD is included as part of the High Performance Montessori Assistant). This new version has just been released in high definition and was filmed in six public and private Montessori schools from Tennessee to Chicago to Hawaii.
EdVid offers hundreds of free Montessori videos on YouTube and now provides online delivery of Montessori videos for parent orientation, staff development, assistant training and school leadership.
